Bishop Anthony C. Celino, JCL, appointed by Pope Francis as auxiliary bishop for the Diocese of El Paso on February 8, 2023, is deeply guided by the Jesuit prayer of generosity. Born in Anda, Pangasinan, Philippines, on April 29, 1972, to Teodolo and Mines Cerdan Celino, he is the third Filipino elevated to a U.S. bishopric. Inspired by his mother's faith, he pursued priesthood, attending Mary Help of Christians Seminary and Mundelein Seminary, graduating in 1997. Ordained as a priest in 1997, he served at St. Patrick Cathedral, later advancing to roles such as vicar general and chancellor. Now, he serves as judicial vicar and pastor of St. Raphael Parish, embodying his motto of "serving without counting the cost."

Dolores Martínez is a Catholic liturgical composer, liturgist, musician, and presenter with the North American Forum on the Catechumenate. She has served as director of the Office of Worship for both the Lubbock Diocese (1983-1987) and the Archdiocese of San Antonio (1993-2006). A longtime liturgy and music director for parishes throughout Texas, Martínez currently serves as an accompanist at St. Mark the Evangelist in San Antonio. She is also chair of the Hispanic Section of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians and an associate member of the Board of Directors of the Southwest Liturgical Conference. Her compositions include “Salmo 138: Te Doy Gracias” and “Agua de Vida.”

She has been employed at numerous churches in the greater Houston area including presently as a pianist at Saint Martha Catholic Church in Kingwood and Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Tomball, and as a School Choir Director at St Mary Magdelene in Humble. Fr. Leon Strider earned his BA in Classics from the University of St. Thomas, Houston, in 1972, and pursued further studies with an STB in Theology from the Gregorian University, Rome, in 1975. He also obtained an SLL in Liturgy and SLD in Liturgy from the Pontifical Liturgical Institute at San Anselmo, Rome, in 1980 and 1994 respectively. Fr. Strider has been a priest of the Diocese of Austin since 1976 and has held various positions including Chair of the Diocesan Liturgical Commission and Formation Faculty at St. Mary’s Seminary, Houston. He currently serves as full-time faculty at the same institution.
