Liturgical music is a sacred and elevated art that forms and draws us into a deeper encounter with Christ in the Mass. Bishop's keynote talk will explore how the movement of the Holy Spirit in our lives anchors our music ministry firmly in Christ's call to discipleship. As the many gifts of the Spirit flow through musicians to compose, perform, and guide God’s people to a deeper experience of faith through art and beauty, so too, does the act of singing our faith in community compel us to go forth from the Mass to enact Christ's love and mercy in the world.
