The Archdiocesan Choir, together with the Archdiocesan Catholic Schools Chorus, will unite their voices in a concert of sacred remembrance, the 2025 In Memoria Concert on Sunday November 23, at 3:00 PM in the Co-Cathedral of the Scared Heart. More than 100 voices with orchestra will lift their voices in sacred song to honor and pray for our beloved priests, deacons, and religious of the archdiocese who died during the past year. We will also remember the victims of violence and natural disasters throughout our world, our nation, and Central Texas. In a special way we will celebrate the life and inspiration of Pope Francis, who entered eternal life on April 21 of this year.

Come and experience A Requiem of the Ages—an inspiring concert of sacred Requiem music in the splendor of the Co-Cathedral—spanning the centuries from the solemn beauty of 10th-century Gregorian Chant and the radiant polyphony of Palestrina to the masterworks of Brahms, Mozart, Fauré, and Duruflé. Contemporary voices will add music of consolation and hope, including a piece dedicated to the victims of natural disasters. Radiant young voices will bring angelic beauty to timeless Requiem texts. This musical journey will culminate with joyful music that reflects the Jubilee Year of Hope: the Gloria from Ariel Ramírez’s Misa Criolla, sung in Spanish with traditional Argentinian instruments, offered in homage to Pope Francis and his deep faith rooted in the people of his homeland.

In this month of All Souls, you will experience a unity of adults, young voices, soloists, and the people of God rising together in sacred harmony, uplifted by orchestra and organ, to encounter our Lord in the sacred music of remembrance and thanksgiving to God for the blessed lives of the faithful departed.
