Bridget Kelly Wenk has served in music ministry in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston for more than forty years. She currently serves at Christ the Redeemer Parish, where she was Director of Music Ministries for fourteen years, through July of this year. Now semi-retired, Bridget directs the Redeemer Choir at CtR. A native Houstonian, Bridget began playing the organ in church at age eleven. She earned a degree in music from University of Houston and has served as music and liturgy director at various parishes, including St. Augustine, St. Theresa, and St. Mary’s Seminary. In addition, Bridget has served as organist and choral conductor for various liturgies and events throughout the Houston area. She has taught workshops for the archdiocese, NPM, and SWLC as well as elective courses for the University of St. Thomas. Bridget is also active in the Taizé prayer community, directing music for regular services at the Villa de Matel.
