Dr. Rick Lopez is the Associate Director for Liturgical Music in the Office of Worship of the Archdiocese of Galveston- Houston. He serves as the Artistic Director of the Archdiocesan Choir and is the founder of Coro Gloria Dei Chamber Choir. He is an Associate Board Member of the Southwest Liturgical Conference, serving as the Chair of the Hispanic Liturgical Ministry Development Committee. Dr. Lopez is an adjunct professor in the music department for the University of St. Thomas Master of Sacred Music program. He is a regular lecturer and workshop presenter for regional and national conferences for Hispanic pastoral music and liturgy. Dr. Lopez is an author of liturgical music articles for several publications on music and liturgy. Dr. Lopez earned a B.A. in vocal performance, an M.A in Choral Conducting, and a Doctor of Musical Arts in Choral Conducting with an emphasis in Sacred Music from Claremont Graduate University.
