Speaker Bio
Fr. Victor Perez is a priest of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston from Katy, TX (born in Dallas). He attended the University of Texas at Austin studying business. His third year of college he had a conversion during his second semester of studying abroad in Seville, Spain in 2000 and decided to visit Fatima, where he went to the Sacrament of Reconciliation. This changed his life forever. It was in Lourdes a couple of months later where he first vocalized his desire to be a priest, suddenly asking a priest, "how do you become a priest?” When participating in the Catholic Center at UT Awakening retreats during his final year in Austin, his deep desire to serve God as a priest became evident. After attending seminary for eight years, Fr. Victor was ordained a priest in 2011 by Daniel Cardinal DiNardo. He served at St. Cecilia and St. Jerome Parishes in Houston, and then became pastor of Most Holy Trinity Parish in Angleton. In 2019 he was reassigned as pastor of two parishes in downtown Houston: St. Joseph and St. Stephen Catholic Churches. He considers himself blessed to speak about the Eucharist along with the Blessed Virgin Mary which is the love of his life.
