Working toward their Archdiocesan catechetical certificate, individuals will reflect on their role as a catechist. Using the USCCB’s standards cited in Service Certification for Specialized Ecclesial Ministers, as well as the TCC Guidelines for Formation of Parish Catechists, participants will learn the purpose, the historical development, the format, and the vocabulary of the Catechetical Curriculum Framework for Lifelong Faith Formation. As a result of participating in this module, individuals will develop a personal action plan to specify how they will continue to enhance their understanding of this information in their efforts in catechetical ministry (or Catholic School education).
