Working toward their Archdiocesan catechetical certificate, individuals will reflect on why and how their catechetical lessons must include elements of both formative and summative assessment to ensure learners’ deep understanding of our faith. Participants will differentiate between these two types of assessment, as well as be able to analyze a lesson and identify examples of each. As a result of participating in this module, individuals will be able to create assessment opportunities for a chosen topic of faith, thus mentally processing how to plan for assessment as lessons are prepared.
