Name
Catholic Social Doctrine: From Leo XIII to Leo XIV
Description

When our holy father chose Leo XIV as his papal name he signaled a continuation of Leo XIII legacy, catholic social doctrine. In this workshop we will review the historical background that inspired pope Leo XIII to write RERUM NOVARUM and develop a well-structured system of catholic social doctrine that responded to the modern world and modern social problems at the end of the 19th century. We will reflect on the main principles of social doctrine and discuss how these principles can be applied to the social issues that are part of our own time, the 21st century.
