Our Archbishop has promulgated sacramental norms for the vision of this archdiocese, that all parishes are called to be faithful to. These are not simply a set of rules to follow but a tool for ministry. These norms provide guidance on how to give integrity, reverence, and consistency to the sacrament among the pastoral situations that are the reality of the people of God. This workshop will explain why this resource is so important, explore how the norms shape the approach to ministry, introduce some of the basic norms for each sacrament of initiation, and provide suggestions for their use in a parish setting. This would be very appropriate for any sacramental coordinators or parish staff, but anyone wishing to deepen their understanding of the sacramental life is welcome.
